Colorado Sunflowers
Every August in Colorado the commercial size fields of sunflowers start to peak. These fields are scattered throughout but can most commonly be found near the Denver International Airport. In some cases the land is owned by the airport and leased to farmers, in other cases it is the farmers land. These sunflowers will go on for as far as the eye can see
These images I use a technique called focus stacking. I take multiple images at different focus points and piece together allowing me to have multiple sunflowers in focus. Unfortunately this time of year in Colorado is also wildfire season, the smoke from burning fires clouded the sky. It is devastating to see these fires but they do make for a nice red sunset
