Blue Moon Brewery
A composite of the Blue Moon rising over the Blue Moon Brewery in Denver, CO. This shot is not possible in a single out of camera shot due to the varying brightness’s and lighting. For example the moon is moving very fast and is really bright so it requires a quick shutter. While the restaurant is very dark and requires a long exposure setting to capture all of the light. I shot it all in same perspective with my tripod and same focal length so this is where the moon was actually at in the sky during this time. It was just a little further north in sky and unfortunately the Pepsi Building blocked it hence the full composite.
In photoshop I did some dodging and burning to get a nice contrast of the lights and darks. I also removed a few distractions like construction signs and a construction crane.
